Escape
A downloadable solo RPG
You are a Cuddlefish, a cephalopod for whom the act of reading is physically transporting in the literal sense. When you read, you exist in an inkscape of fear and predation where words are often existential threats. Luckily, you’ve got a defense mechanism: inky discharge that preemptively redacts the scary parts of books so they can’t assault your being.
Escape is a game where you read things that make you uncomfortable and react to them through play and escapist fantasizing.
Includes the game text, a printer-friendly version to serve as the character sheet, and an example of play that uses Damien Ark's "FUCKED UP"—a feels-by-osmosis torrent of abuse, violent imagery, and sexuality—as the discomfort corpus.
