Warcrime Chess
"Recognize at times we have to engage in evil, but minimize it."
---Robert Strange McNamara
WARCRIME CHESS is a chess variant that combines Fog of War chess and the Errol Morris documentary "The Fog of War", or at least that sounds like a good tagline. It contains a lot of bluffing, a lot of guessing, and pictures of Robert S. McNamara.
RULES
All pieces are invisible until selected.
Changes: No check. No castling. No en passant. No promotions. Pawns capture straight in front of them.
Obey the laws of war (chess), or suffer Guilt. Guilt is public information. A piece's Rank determines how much Guilt is accrued when moving it. Game ends when a king is captured. Player with the least Guilt is the winner.
Illegal checkmates are a 15 Guilt penalty. Both players' Guilt scores are halved every 7 turns (if a player is at 1 Guilt, they go to 0 guilt when this effect occurs).
Grab a friend, jump into a game together and git sum.
